Kodak EasyShare V1273 an ‘attractive option’

Kodak has boosted its range of digital cameras with a new model that is much better looking than its predecessors, one reviewer has suggested.

An article for cnet. co. uk reports that the Kodak Easyshare V1273 will “appeal to an altogether more stylish set” and incorporates touchscreen technology among its host of features.

The website states that in the past, Kodak has paid little attention to the style of its models, but notes that this 12-megapixel compact has bucked that trend.

It is noted that the Kodak Easyshare V1273 “is an all-steel, gun-metal nugget of cool that will have designers salivating over their MacBook Airs” and in terms of performance delivers the kind of quality to be expected from the brand.

“As is usual with Kodak, colours are bright and cheerful, and exposure is good,” the site concludes.

However, for those looking at other models in this range, the reviewer goes on to suggest the Olympus MJU 1010 as a suitable alternative.

Easyshare EX1011 ’stands out from the crowd’

With digital photo frames becoming more and more popular as gifts for loved ones, a review suggests that one model from Kodak is a stylish option.

According to Stuart Miles of Pocket-lint. co .uk, digital photo frames that look great are not only becoming a “hot property”, but also represent an ideal gift for friends and family.

He adds that in particular the 10-inch Kodak EasyShare EX1011 is an effective panel as it comes with a “minimalist but modern look” while offering a range of features that include Wi-Fi connectivity.

Mr Miles also highlights the 128MB of built-in memory and music and video playback that all adds to a package that is able to “stand out from the crowd”.

“[The Kodak EasyShare EX1011] is a good all round photo frame that offers the added bonus of being able to stream your images over the network and manage them easily without having to mess around with memory cards,” he states.

Earlier this month, vnunet. com also praised the Kodak EasyShare EX1011 for its compatibility with a range of formats and drew attention to its compatibility with Kodak’s online photo service.

The Kodak EasyShare Z1285 is an affordable and easy to use camera that should appeal to photography enthusiasts looking to buy their first camera, according to reports.

In a review of the camera, photoxels. com said the model, which comes with a 12.1-megapixel resolution and Schneider-Kreuznach Varigon 5x optical zoom lens, makes a good “entry-level” camera.

According to the manufacturer, the Kodak EasyShare Z1285’s higher resolution means images can be enlarged or cropped without losing quality, while the camera’s high definition-quality movie mode allows users to shoot films with sound that they can play back on HDTV.

Other features include 19 shooting modes, a Smart Scene application that optimises the camera’s settings for different types of photographs, optional high ISO for shooting in low light and Perfect Touch technology for clearing up dark shadows.

There is also an in-camera panorama stitch system, which allows a user to take a series of individual pictures then blend them into a single, continuous 360-degree view.

Kodak EasyShare SV710 ‘a digital frame for any room’

A review of the Kodak EasyShare SV710 digital photo frame has praised the device for its stylish black appearance and “incredibly easy” controls.

What Digital Camera said the frame, which can be wall-mounted or free-standing, has a seven-inch screen that displays photos in 480 x 234 resolution.

It accepts CF, SD and xD format memory cards and can also display slideshows directly from a camera. However, as the device has no internal memory, images cannot be permanently stored on it.

Thanks to the simple menu layout and drag-and-drop controls, it is “incredibly easy” to set up one of these shows, the review says. The Kodak Easyshare Z1285 “refreshes” the Easyshare range of zoom digital cameras, offering a 12 megapixel resolution and 5x optical zoom lens, it has been reported.
