Fujifilm’s FinePix Z200fd is a ten-megapixel digital camera that that boasts a range of options that could be of interest to those shopping for a new model.

In addition to a 2.7-inch screen, 5x optical zoom, xD and SD card support and face recognition, it has red eye correction.

The Fujifilm FinePix Z200fd was unveiled earlier this year as a replacement to the manufacturer’s Fujifilm FinePix Z100fd model.

It was designed to be added to the Japanese manufacturers existing range as a more portable, lighter model as well as offering improved specifications and better zoom technology.

Imaging Resources reported that the Fujifilm FinePix Z200fd would begin shipping to the UK this month and that users could expect the ten-megapixel model to be well equipped with an impressive sensor.

“[The camera] is listed as being four grams lighter than the previous model and one further change is an increase in digital zoom strength from 5.1x to 5.7x,” the site said.

However, the Fujifilm FinePix Z100fd does have a bigger built-in memory than the newer camera and is currently available in a number of colours.

According to the Indystar news website, the ten-megapixel Fujifilm FinePix Z200fd is a digital camera that can help ensure the end result is worthy of uploading to your digital frame.

It is noted that the camera is able to do this by capturing “flattering images” even in the most dimly lit rooms, outdoor areas and where natural light is involved, with a toned-down flash.

The camera is equipped with a 2.7-inch screen and has a 5x optical zoom. It also boasts support for a range of memory formats including xD and SD cards.

“It also focuses on up to 10 faces in a scene and automatically corrects any red eyes. Better yet, an automatic timer lets you put yourself in the picture,” it adds.

Also available in the manufacturer’s range is the ten-megapixel Z20fd, which comes in a host of vibrant colours including green, pink blue and black.

The Tech Gadgets page reports that the new Fujifilm FinePix F60fd digital camera is currently being rolled out and has a number of features that could make it usable by anyone, anywhere.

David Troy, marketing manager of consumer digital cameras in Fujifilm’s US electronic imaging division, said that the FinePix F60fd brings together a number of technological innovations into one compact unit.

“By combining powerful photographic features such as high ISO Dual Image Stabilization, and Face Detection 3.0, the FinePix F60fd is the perfect all-in-one camera for photographers of all levels,” he said.

The manufacturer has announced that it took the honour for its Fujifilm FinePix S100FS camera at the recent European Imaging and Sound Association (EISA) awards.

It is reported that the 11-megapixel model, which comes equipped with a super-telephoto zoom lens, impressed the EISA judges with how much technology it managed to cram into such a compact model.

“The Fujifilm FinePix S100FS is a true alternative to a DSLR camera fitted with a super-zoom lens. Though hardly a compact camera, it sports a relatively compact and fast wide angle … lens of very high quality,” the judges said.

Adrian Clarke, Fujifilm’s director of digital products, welcomed the honour and added that the company had seen sales of the model exceeded its expectations.

The Fujifilm FinePix S100FS also features Super CCD HR VIII Real Photo technology, Face Detection 2.0 and full movie mode as well as a 2.5-inch tilting LCD monitor.

Fujifilm has launched three new models that it claims are in keeping with its attempts to make a model for all users.

Finally the Fujifilm FinePix J150w is a ten-megapixel model “designed for consumers seeking an affordable digital camera without sacrificing features or style.”

The Fujifilm FinePix F60fd is the successor to the Fujifilm FinePix F50fd, which is currently still available ins silver and black.

Fujifilm’s latest addition to its range of compact digital cameras offers a first for the manufacturer, full high definition (HD) video.

It was announced this week that the Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD would be launched and that the ten-megapixel model would be equipped with HD recording and output as well as a host of other features.

The Fujifilm FinePix S2000HD’s 15x optical zoom lens is capable of covering the equivalent range of a 35mm camera and can offer true wide-angle shots as well as ultra telephoto.

“From sweeping landscapes, interiors and large group shots to distant sports or wildlife action, the FinePix S2000HD is ready for every photographic challenge thrown at it,” Fujifilm claims.

Face detection technology, red-eye detection, instant zoom and zoom bracketing are also incorporated into the device.

In a review for Unbeatable this week, one reviewer states that holding the Fuji Finepix S1000FD gives the impression that the model is “robust” and although it is a digital single-lens reflex (DSLR) model it is more compact than most.

Equipped with a ten-megapixel CCD sensor, the Fuji Finepix S1000FD boasts a 12x optical zoom as well as features that include face detection, panorama shooting and movie mode.

In addition, the camera is fitted with a 2.7-inch LCD screen and offers images that the review describes as “good with bright colour reproduction and little image noise”.

It concludes that setting up the camera “was quite slow”, but adds that once up and running the Fuji Finepix S1000FD is “nifty between shots”.

The camera is available in a range of bundles that includes a Fuji 512MB xD card as well as the Vanguard 10B digital camera case.

It is stated the larger body and lens of the camera in fact contain a fixed lens and the unit actually behaves like a digital compact. It also adds that overall the camera “handles very well”.

“The large lens barrel means it’s easy to zoom in and out and the large body means there’s room for lots of switches, so you don’t have to hunt through the menus to do simple things,” it adds.

Finally the 11-megapixel Fujifilm S100FS is praised for its high quality images although it does state that the price will not be suitable for all.

For those people the 12-megapixel Fuji Finepix F100fd could be an option.

The Fuji Finepix F100Fd is great for shots where sun glare can be an issue, one reviewer has stated.

According to cameras.co.uk, the 12-megapixel digital camera offers a 5x optical zoom with a focal length that makes it ideal fro those taking landscape photographs.

And for those looking to reduce the level of glare in such shots, the Fuji Finepix F100Fd is praised as one of the best around.

“The Finepix F100FD does a better job of handling any glare from the sun than many cameras I have tested recently,” the site states.

It goes on to suggest that this can mean images retain more detail and keep colours at their optimum level, while the wide angle lens is noted as being able to pack “plenty of the scene into the picture”.

The camera is available in silver and black and has a 230,000 pixel wide angle view LCD screen.
