A new model in the Finepix range not only emulates its predecessor but adds a few extra tricks, it has been suggested.
Imaging-resource. com states that the Fujifilm FinePix Z200fd is set to replace the Fujifilm FinePix Z100fd and comes equipped with a range of improved specifications that build on the older model.
The camera is said to be around four grams lighter than the Fujifilm FinePix Z100fd and has boosted the level of digital zoom strength from 5.1x to 5.7x.
“The Fujifilm FinePix Z200fd is a pretty straightforward update to the Z100, with the most notable difference being a change of imager,” the site states.
It adds the old eight-megapixel CCD sensor has been replaced by a ten-megapixel type.
However, the Fujifilm FinePix Z100fd does have a larger memory than the new model and the camera is also available in a number of colours that include black, pink, brown and silver.

The Fujifilm Finepix F50fd has proved to be a popular brand for the manufacturer and a new review has explored why.
In an article for Digital Camera Reviews, it is noted that the Fujifilm Finepix F50fd, which is available in steel and black finish, offers a “whomping” 12-megapixel resolution and builds on the success of previous models in the range.
The reviewer states that the performance of the camera in low light environments is impressive and states that the character has improved on previous editions without losing the manual controls that had previously been advantageous.
Along with the 12-megapixel resolution, the camera comes with a 2.7-inch LCD screen and Face Detection 2 technology, as well as image stabilisation and a range of other modes.
“The chief advantages of the Fujifilm Finepix F50fd Pocket Digital Camera are the shutter and aperture priority modes, a good image stabilisation mode and an exceptional face determination aspect,” the site concludes.

However, he notes the Fujifilm FinePix S8100fd impresses in a number of wide ranging areas and adds that the “reasonable price” makes it even more attractive.
“It offers plenty of automated assistance, but lets you tweak settings manually when necessary. It makes a good choice for anyone seeking a single camera for all occasions,” he concludes.

Mr Butler notes that Fuji Finepix S100FS is “an interesting package” that has an extra large sensor, a lens that is able to cover a zoom range of up to 4.3x and boasts the latest version of the manufacturer’s Super CCD sensor technology.
“[There are] some photography-related features that have been added too, such as presets designed to mimic the behaviour of specific Fuji films and a dynamic range expansion mode,” the review notes.
The camera comes equipped with a 2.5-inch TFT LCD screen, dynamic range expansion mode and TTL 256-zone metering.

A review of the Fuji Finepix S9600 has rated the camera for its large lens unit and picture quality, while also noting that the model is “as close as you will get to a digital SLR without buying one”.
Cameras. co. uk said the model “dwarfs” other compacts on the market in size and as a result it boasts a “much larger lens unit” than most of its contemporaries.
As a result, the site says, the Fuji Finepix S9600′s image quality has “plenty of plus points”, including sharp focus and outdoor performance that outdoes “just about every other camera” it has tested.
The nine-megapixel camera also produces colours with “plenty of depth” and good balance, the site adds.
And the Fuji Finepix S9600 remains easy to operate, despite the large number of settings and features included on board.
In conclusion, the review says the style of the Fuji Finepix S9600 would suit a camera shopper looking for a model that resembles the “look and feel” of a digital SLR without the hefty price tag.

The Fuji FinePix F100fd has been praised for its construction, ease of operation and “savvy” feature set by a new review.
Website Trusted Reviews said the camera is the “new top dog” in Fuji’s F-series range, boasting a 12-megapixel resolution, “cutting edge” face detection autofocus that can recognise up to ten individuals and a Fujifilm CCD HR VIII sensor.
The review notes that the sensor uses the same technology as the “top of the range” Fuji FinePix S5 Pro DSLR, with a unique pixel array that captures a broader range of tones, highlights and shadows.
The Fuji FinePix F100fd also comes with image stabilisation that uses a combination of mechanical sensor adjustment and high ISO sensitivity to reduce blur from both camera and subject movement.
In addition, the camera has a 5x zoom lens with a digital zoom range of 8.2x which because of the Fuji FinePix F100fd’s high resolution “becomes a useful tool” for a photographer.
As is the camera’s blog mode, which automatically resizes image files for quick uploads onto websites.
The Fuji FinePix F100fd is available in the UK from around £186.99.
