The Kodak EasyShare Z1285 is an affordable and easy to use camera that should appeal to photography enthusiasts looking to buy their first camera, according to reports.
In a review of the camera, photoxels. com said the model, which comes with a 12.1-megapixel resolution and Schneider-Kreuznach Varigon 5x optical zoom lens, makes a good “entry-level” camera.
According to the manufacturer, the Kodak EasyShare Z1285’s higher resolution means images can be enlarged or cropped without losing quality, while the camera’s high definition-quality movie mode allows users to shoot films with sound that they can play back on HDTV.
Other features include 19 shooting modes, a Smart Scene application that optimises the camera’s settings for different types of photographs, optional high ISO for shooting in low light and Perfect Touch technology for clearing up dark shadows.
There is also an in-camera panorama stitch system, which allows a user to take a series of individual pictures then blend them into a single, continuous 360-degree view.
The Kodak EasyShare Z1285 is available from around £110.99.
