The nine-megapixel Fuji FinePix F47fd is an improvement on its predecessor, the FinePix 40fd, the manufacturer has claimed.

The new model, described as an advanced digital compact camera, features hardware-based face detection functionality, as well as ISO 2000 sensitivity at full resolution.

In addition, the camera features a 3x optical zoom lens, an improved graphical user interface and an intelligent flash function, as well as a long-life rechargeable lithium-ion battery.

The video output for the Fuji FinePi F47fd is NTSC/PAL selectable and the camera features a number of playback options, including intelligent face detection, slide show, a voice-memo automatic playback mode, trimming and single-frame and multi-frame selections.

According to Digicam Review, the camera’s battery life is estimated to last around 300 shots.

The site also claims that the Fuji FinePix F47fd dual memory card slot accepts both SD and XD memory cards and that its display screen measures 2.5 inches.
