Fujifilm launches specialist camera
16 Jul 2007
Fujifilm has announced the development of a new digital camera aimed at scientists and law enforcers.
The IS Pro incorporates the firm’s pioneering Super CCD Pro and Real Photo Processor Pro technology, allowing the device to see ultraviolet light and infra-red images.
Although the product has not yet received a UK release date, it has been launched in the US this week.
The model is expected to be popular with both consumers and members of the technical, law, medical research and scientific communities.
Darin Pepple, consumer and professional marketing manager with Fujifilm’s Electronic Imaging Division, commented: “We’re very excited to be offering this highly-anticipated camera to customers.”
The camera will be available in several different systems packages, varying from a basic kit to an advance full system alternative.
Mr Pepple said the differently priced kits would make it easier for law enforcement agencies to achieve a “quick” and “cost-effective” solution for entering into ultra-violet and infra-red photography.
