31 Mar 2008

The Garmin nuvi 770T is “packed” with preloaded maps of European and North American destinations, the manufacturer has claimed.
Technology such as traffic avoidance have been incorporated into the new items of the Garmin nuvi 700 series, which also feature a clear menu and extra guidance for novice sat-nav users, according to EMEA product director Clive Taylor.
“We are constantly striving to improve our customers’ experience and the Garmin nuvi 700 series ensures you arrive on time and relaxed at your destination,” he claimed.
The nuvi 770T model contains a text-to-speech system, which reads the names of roads out loud so users may experience less confusion if there are many options of turns to take.
In addition, the personal travel assistant features a 4.3-inch widescreen display that is readable in bright sunlight and is “ready to go right out of the box”, Garmin has claimed.
The system comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery which is claimed to have a life of up to five hours.
