Panasonic Lumix TZ10 BlackThe DMC-TZ10 continues the progression of the award winning TZ series from Panasonic. This camera is all that the TZ7 was and much more. Like its predeccessor the TZ10 GPS boasts a 12x optical zoom, 25mm wide angle lens and 3″ LCD screen.

The Pansonic TZ10’s arsenal includes HD movie mode, intelligent auto mode with optical image stabilzer, intelligent resolution technology and an extra optical zoom function. The major difference though is the addition of the travel mode with GPS. This allows you to sort your photos by location and dislplays the location when reviewing your shots. A great addition to a brilliantly designed camera.

I have just purchased this camera, and would like to thank UkDigitalCamera for an excellent service. It arrived the next day just after 1pm and I was given information via online tracking - very impressive. The cost of the bundle was probably the best price on the internet or shop - very good value for money.
As for the camera, I bought this because of the 12x optical lens. I currently have a small 3x for my pocket and an SLR with telephoto lens. I wanted a camera between these two but one closer to the SLR two lenses - wide angled and telephoto 300mm range, to use on holiday so that I do not have to carry a large camera around in my bag! I was told that 12mm is 300mm but it is not, it stops just short of this and so I tested the quality of the extra digital zoom. This does come closer to the object but the quality is 'digital'. I am pleased with the quality of the photographs taken in digital format (they are well balanced contrast and colour) also the other technical qualities of the TZ10, but I am a little unsure whether I will get those close-up shots on holiday. I suppose I have purchased that 'in between' camera, and so should not have expected such a small camera to have the same qualities as the SLR.

Sorry, I should have said 'I am pleased with the Optical Zoom format' not digital!
