Summer camera roundup
06 Jun 2008

If you are heading off to a festival such as Glastonbury or Leeds this summer then capturing the memories on camera are likely to be on the to-do list.
With this in mind, ShortList magazine has reviewd a few models currently on the market, ranging from £130 to £180.
The Olympus MJU 850 Tough (£180) was first up, with eight megapixels and a 2.5-inch LCD screen.
It is not only shockproof and freezeproof but also waterproof - which might be a good thing considering the traditionally gloomy British summer weather.
Fujifilm’s FinePix Z20fd was next on the reviewer’s plate, coming equipped with ten megapixels, a 2.5-inch screen and a “party mode” for night-time photographs. It will cost you £130 and is “great for capturing the full story of the night”.
Finally, the Canon Ixus 75 - also £130 - is described in the review as “clever”. Seven megapixels, a touch-control dial and face detection technology make this a nifty camera for those who want to “look the part”, it added.
