In addition to a 14.7 and 13.6-megapixel model, Samsung has unveiled two new
cameras that could appeal to the more entry-level user.
The manufacturer this week announced it would offer the 14.7-megapixel TL34HD and 13.6-megapixel SL310W. However, for those looking for something with a lower specification the Samsung TL9 and SL201 may be of interest.
Samsung’s TL9 is an ultra-compact model with a ten megapixel sensor and a 2.7-inch LCD screen. The unit offers a 5x optical zoom and incorporates dual image stabilisation as well as face detection, smile shot and blink detection technology.
The 10.2-megapixel Samsung SL201 has a number of similar features but is equipped with a 3x optical zoom lens and 11 scene modes and Function Description.
“Function Description provides a brief and easy-to-understand description of each setting when scrolling through the camera’s menus, helping the end-user determine which setting is appropriate,” the manufacturer states.
The Samsung Digimax i8 Blue is an 8.1-megapixel model currently available that also features Function Description and a Photo Help Guide.
