Samsung has this week announced a number of new cameras, including the next generation of its L-series models.

The company has confirmed that there will be three new models, the Samsung L100, L110 and L210.

All of these cameras have been described by the firm as “easy to use” and have a number of features such as digital image stabilisation and intelligent face recognition.

Face recognition technology allows the camera to automatically detect faces in frame and will set the focus and exposure to ensure that images are well composed.

The new Samsung L100 features an 8.1-megapixel sensor, while the other two new models both have 10.1-megapixel sensors.

Each of the cameras has a 2.5 inch display and all can record short movie clips, at a rate of 30 frames per second.

In terms of focussing, 80 cm is the closest focus for all models, while all have a 5 cm macrofocus ability.
