Camera skin replacements for Sony DSC-T5
06 Aug 2007

Sony is to offer consumers a replacement skin casing for its Sony DSC-T5 camera.
The decision follows the finding that the metal casing can become damaged, with the possibility of causing cuts or scratches to the skin.
A free replacement service is offered for affected products and Sony advises affected consumers to contact its central service.
Sony said that an “irregularity in the initial production” of the metal plating on the bottom of the model is to blame, with the adhesive plating being two weak and “warping outwardly” as a result.
Consumers are affected if their camera’s serial number falls between 4500001 and 4569350 can order a DSC-T5 repair from the internet.
The cyber-shot T5 camera offers a 2.5 inch LCD screen and 5.1 effective megapixels within a “slim vertical design aluminium body”.
