The MK8022GAA, which is available now, offers storage of 80 GB and weighs just 59 grams, while the MK1626GCB can hold 160 GB worth of data.
Both devices are 1.8 inches long. In a statement, Toshiba said that the drives are “small and light and offer unrivaled capacity that will allow storage of HD movies and countless digital still images and music files in small personal digital devices”. “environmentally conscious”.
Later this month, the two drives will be featured at Diskcon USA 2007 IN California. According to MacWorld UK, Toshiba is currently working on developing a 240 GB drive for the iPod classic and plans to debut the new technology in 2009.
