Legendary photographer David Bailey has been announced as the judge for a photography competition being run by Currys in collaboration with Olympus and the Daily Telegraph.
Five different categories comprise the Our Lives competition. These are; Our Environment, Our Events, Our Lives in Motion, Our People and Our Places.
Winners will help themselves to a range of prizes including a signed photograph by Mr Bailey, a two-week holiday for two people and a camera kit provided by Olympus. A London photo exhibition will display the top nine photos in each category.
Over the next 13 weeks, aspiring photographers will get the chance to submit as many as 20 photos across the five categories and during this time, the Daily Telegraph along with Currys will be providing information on how to go about choosing the right scene and setting for their snap.
The closing date for the Our Lives competition is August 11th and Dave Poulter of Currys has said: “Through the lessons, reviews and technical tips offered as part of this competition and available in-store, we hope everyone really gets to grips with digital photography.”
